Supermarket chic was the order of the day at the Chanel Autumn/Winter 2014-15 catwalk
last week. Karl Lagerfeld’s entirely Chanel branded Grand Palais supermarket aisles sent international media into a frenzy of instagram, twitter, facebook, bloggers and tabloid media posts.
Models shopped the shelves to the sounds of Lady Gaga and Rihanna in pastel coloured ensembles, torn refinery, pearls and a nonchalant attitude. They popped their shopping into chanel chain, decorated baskets and paid from vacuum packed purses backed with sheets of polythene. One even picked up with a chainsaw from the DIY aisle. The usual faces were modeling, especially Jourdan, Edie and Heart Disease with Cara doing the closing finale turn hand-in-hand with Karl.
Never in a million years did the fashion world anticipate ever seeing Karl Lagerfeld pushing a shopping trolley round a supermarket – especially not one sporting panels of primary coloured plastic. Can Karl do no wrong? Once the catwalk was over the guests were invited to peruse the shelves for themselves, which in turn led to an unprecedented amount of looting. Never before had a box of biscuits been so valuable! Make sure you have a look at buy Fluconazole the attention to detail in the packaging design as much as the fashion beside it…..
