Colour is such a complex thing. It comes entirely with its own psychology.
However, we’ve never read or learnt of any deep psychology with monochromatic colour aside from it being ‘minimal’. Maybe that’s why it’s so chic; it is so uncomplicated both visually and emotionally. It speaks purely in style. It does however, come with it’s own encyclopedia of terminology. The term ‘monochrome’ essentially means singular colour which can in fact be any colour e.g. ‘I like monochrome blue shoes.’ However, it can also refer to a scale of colour; primarily the grey one. Finally, it can also mean two colours; black and white. Complicated much?
Either way when we get a bit exhausted of polychrome (use of multiple colours, the opposite of monochrome) we like to treat our eye to something simpler in black and white. Here’s our spring selection…
